Faltered Heart Reviews was an idea generated by Mei Zhu (Sanosuke) and Kokoro (former Kaoru) in December of 2003. The two girls wanted to create a WPR (web page review) to offer criticisms to site owners who are looking for critiques to improve their site. The idea was transmitted over to Misty (Misao), who became excited and wanted to join the small team. Thus came the birth of Faltered Heart Reviews.
Faltered Heart Reviews initially reviewed sites based on a numerical value system. Each category of the rubric guideline was given a score, which was tallied up at the end for a total mark out of 100. However, the webmistresses here decided that webpages shouldn’t be categorized by percentage. Our goal is to offer suggestions and point out areas for improvements. The site went under a five month renovation to remodify our method of reviewing and the entire site overall.
The site grew as Mei Zhu, Kokoro, and Misty became swamped with review submissions flooding their inbox. They went on a long search for fun, professional, and reliable reviewers to share their large workload. Fortunately they recruited a few awesome reviewers, and over time, the crew became a small family.
We aim to help site owners with their webpages. Each reviewer offers honest and constructive criticism about every site submitted in hopes that it may help improve the site’s quality. We point out specific errors and offer suggestions on how each problem can be resolved or improved. We understand that there is no such thing as perfection. Our reviewers themselves, are not perfect human beings. Some people are just unable to see their own mistakes and errors. Therefore, we simply want to help people further develop and improve their sites as a web designer from an outside perspective.
